Follow Tricky Micky on his journey from rags to riches! in the First part, he is taken in by the vicar and his wife but expected to work hard for his keep. At 18, he runs away to the Big Town and learns about surviving with the help of kids picking flowers, an old woman and her grandchildren, a clever tinker and a nasty rich farmer and timber merchant. On reaching the city, he uses these lessons to make all the poor business tycoons richer so they give him some sausage and a flat! In Part Two, Micky continues his path to success by inventing Mother's Day and starting an advertising company with three unemployed talented artists named Tommy, Harry and Tracy. The success of the adverts leads to lots of fighting over cool trousers and skirts. Tracy's mum explains this to Micky in no uncertain terms but after Tracy goes back home to live and her dad finally expresses an equally scathing judgement on his activities, he says he's sorry and Tracy agrees to help him change his ways.
