Work & Edition Details
What they do have in common is a romanticising tonal language that can be seen as a reminiscence of a visit to the Brahms Museum in Hamburg in the summer of 2016 which led me to engage more closely with the music of Johannes Brahms in the months that followed. Despite all the inspiration provided by the models of Romanticism, Franz has maintained his own compositional style, for example in the formal form of the songs, in the sequence of certain keys or in certain interval sequences, especially in the melody of the vocal part.
