Work & Edition Details
At the beginning, still dissected into its motivic parts, then in finished form, a far-reaching melody resounds vocally. It soon gets into increasingly threatening surroundings and finally between the fronts of a steadily increasing ostinato rhythm, but after a dramatic climax it soon finds its way back into the world of friendly and peaceful sounds, unfolds once more to its full size and finally fades away in complete peace.
