Work & Edition Details
2000 nails is a large scale work based on a poem by Edith Sitwell and the easter plainsong "Victimae Paschali Laudes". It employs organ techniques ranging from baroque counterpoint to French nineteenth century organ music and the colours of the cinema organ. Extensive advice about the registrations used in the Delphian Records recording on the McEwan Hall organ of Edinburgh University is included, courtesy of the piece's dedicatee, Michael Bonaventure.
