Work & Edition Details
Trio in one movement. Koerppen: My intention was to break the fixation of the accordion on folkloristic or pedagogical tasks and make it a real partner in a chamber music ensemble. The one-movement piece is in three parts: Quiet and sustained - Very moving, but always restrained and mysterious - First time measure. A series of contrasting sound images relate to each other, quote themselves or change - not in the sense of motivic work, but by pronouncing identical things in different idioms.
