Work & Edition Details
The Toccata (1990) was premiered in Nuremberg in 1998 by Prof. Martin Strohhäcker (Dresden). The Toccata in C (1998) was composed at the suggestion of cathedral organist Dietrich Wagler for the large Silbermann organ in Freiberg Cathedral and premiered there in 1999. The unequal temperament of the three-manual organ is a compromise between our present-day equal temperament and the mid-range. Even if the instrument has influenced the question of tonality, for example, this toccata can nevertheless also be performed on other larger organs.
