Work & Edition Details
The cantata has a partite-like structure. An independent instrumental prelude is followed by various chorale movements and arrangements, some of which place somewhat greater demands on the brass. The composition is suitable both for the Christmas church concert and for the church service, as it gives all musically active members of the congregation the opportunity to make music together.
